Double Hat-Trick of Awards at ContiTech Beattie

ContiTech Beattie awardsInvestors in People Champion ContiTech Beattie, the Ashington and Aberdeen based market leader in hose technology for the oil and gas industry is enjoying a sustained string of accolades, reflecting major growth within the business.

The company's recent People Effectiveness award at the institution of Mechanical Engineer's Manufacturing excellence awards marks a remarkable double hat-trick of national awards, with success in three consecutive years at the MX Awards combined with three national awards in 2010.

For three consecutive years, ContiTech Beattie has been a winner at the Manufacturing Excellence Awards.

This year they have triumphed with the Professional Engineering Award for People Effectiveness, having been selected as a finalist in a total of seven awards.

In 2009, the firm was shortlisted for five awards and listed as a final-ist in three before winning the Financial Management award.

In 2008 it collected the Business Development and Change Management Award, were highly commended in the People Development category and shortlisted for the Manufacturing Process Innovation award.

To add to this, the company has been given the royal seal of approval, being honoured with the Queen's Award for Enterprise earlier in the year. Their achievement was in the International Trade category, recognising its outstanding export business performance.

The Queen's Award is presented annually by the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to enterprises and organisations in recognition of outstanding achievement in the categories of International Trade, Innovation, and Sustainable Development. The Queen personally approves the recommendations by the Prime Minister for the award.

Most recently ContiTech Beattie Ltd, has not only been awarded Investors in People Gold status, but been named as Investors in People Champion, one of only sixty companies within the UK to have achieved this rare status.
