Why Equality and Diversity and Why me?
We will be holding a series of awareness raising events during
October and November on the impact of the Equality Act 2010.
Held across the North East region, the events will help
delegates understand what impact the Equality Act 2010 is having on
the public sector procurement process.
If you are a provider of services, goods or works to the
public sector - or would like to be - we recommend that you
register for one of these events now.
You'll learn how the Act and the public sector duties within it
are already influencing equality and diversity practices in the
private and third sector supply chains. You'll also be given clear
pointers as to what you might need to do to evidence best practice
as the public sector looks to its suppliers to help them comply
with their equality duties.
You'll gain an insight in to what you, as employers and service
providers, also need to be doing to ensure that your own duties and
obligations under the legislation are being met.
The events are free to attend, but places will be strictly
limited to one person per organisation and will be offered on a
first come first served basis. In the future, we are planning
events in other parts of the country and if you are interested to
attend then please send us a short email and we'll make sure that
send you more details.
All events will be held between 09:00 - 11:00 at the venues and
on the dates detailed below:
