c2e's Diversity Assured accreditation
What
is the c2e Diversity Assured accreditation?
Committed 2 Equality (or c2e) is the accreditation body for the
equality and diversity quality mark Diversity
Assured. The c2e quality mark covers all strands of equality: age,
disability, gender, religion, race and ethnic origin, gender
re-assignment and sexual orientation in line with the Equality Act
2010. To achieve the accreditation you need to achieve 80% or more
during the c2e assessment, delivered by Assessment North East. You
can achieve Gold by achieving 90% or more.
How do I make sure I have everything in place before coming for
audit?
We have developed a programme to help you implement/amend
policies and procedures prior to coming forward for assessment. The
programme is flexible and scalable and based on
realistic good practice that can easily be adapted
to any organisation. It includes:
- A self assessment and action
planning session with an advisor
- Support from an advisor in the way that suits
you (can be face to face or through phone and email)
- Access to templates and policies (with guidance from the
advisor to ensure they are relevant)
- Monitoring mechanisms to check progress
- The assessment - Interviews with employees +
desktop review of systems with feedback
How long does it take?
The c2e programme takes on average 15 hours of employer time
over a 6 week period. The on-site assessment takes
approximately 3 hours.
